A total of 566 participants will vie for the “His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Quran Award”, the organisers announced, adding that the qualifying stages will begin on April 24.
Chairperson of the Al-Noor Charity Welfare Society and Chairperson of the Award’s Permanent Committee, Shaikha Lamia bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, indicated that there will be 120 participants in the Holy Quran full memorisation category, 128 in the memorisation of 10 parts of the holy Quran category, 148 in the memorisation of three parts of the holy Quran category and 170 in the good voice category.
Shaikha Lamia said that the great number of participants reflects the public interest in all the fields related to the Holy Quran in Bahrain, noting that the award aims to serve the Holy Quran.
She added that the qualifications will be held between April 24 and May 3, via Microsoft Teams, in the presence of a specialised jury.
