BAGHDAD, The Alliance for Reform and Reconstruction announced the nomination of its candidate for Prime Minister within one day, after the election of the President of the Republic in the voting session scheduled for Monday.
The leader in the Alliance Falah Zaidan said, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), that we will go after the end of the House of Representatives voting on the nomination of the President, to resolve the selection of the candidate of the Reform Alliance for the post of Prime Minister within one day, "noting the Kurdish leaders to resolve their candidate for the post of President of the Republic, otherwise the Reform Alliance will resolve its position of voting before the meeting on Monday.
He added that "joint meetings with other blocs focused to discuss the government program and the election of the President of the Republic, and did not address the nomination of the Prime Minister," noting that "the reform alliance adopts a government program for the next stage will be presented to the other blocs and the candidate for Prime Minister also."
On the abuse of the Reform Alliance with the Construction Coalition, Zaidan explained, "We have ongoing meetings with the coalition of construction in accordance with the visions of reform and national common, to reach a total nomination of a compromise candidate for the post of Prime Minister."
