Abadi Vows To Address All Problems Facing Investment Companies In Iraq

BAGHDAD, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi pledged to all foreign and Arab investment companies to address the problems and uncertainties facing them in their investment projects in Iraq.

Al-Abadi said in a speech delivered on his behalf by Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq at the Investment Opportunities Forum on Thursday that the government's interest in driving the investment from a clear vision in this sector to ensure successful investment development that includes raising the living standard of society. Which was put in place before the donor conference in Kuwait, confirmed the approach that the prime minister stressed to support this important sector. "

He stressed that the success achieved by the Kuwait Conference confirmed the desire of Arab and foreign companies to enter into investment to rebuild the destroyed cities and that the work is being carried out in order to achieve and complete the investment projects presented by the countries in the conference. He pointed out that the team of follower of the Kuwait Conference is ready to study serious discussions to the conference and look forward to fruitful results in which investors and businessmen started. "

He added: "This forum will witness the signing of memorandums of understanding and agreements and the next few months will witness the launch of new investment agreements, and we are ready to hear all the proposals of the companies investing during this forum and confirm that all government institutions will address the problems and uncertainties of the functioning of companies investing in Iraq."

On Thursday morning, the Investment Opportunities Forum was opened with the participation of 150 foreign and Arab companies, in the presence of ministers, officials and businessmen.
