BAGHDAD Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi headed to the Saudi capital Riyadh on Wednesday morning heading an official delegation and businessmen on a two-day official visit.
He is accompanied by a high-level delegation of 11 Ministers, 68 government officials and more than 70 businessmen from the private sector.
The Iraqi and Saudi sides will discuss bilateral relations and means of enhancing them, regional and international issues of mutual interest and establishing strategic relations that serve the interests of Baghdad and Riyadh.
On the sidelines of the visit there will be the meetings of the Political, Security and Military Committee chaired by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries.
It is expected that according to official sources, the talks between the two sides will focus on attracting Saudi investments, as Riyadh has all the potential and willingness to support in this regard, in addition to the willingness, readiness and ability of the private sector in Saudi Arabia to achieve this in line with the objectives of Vision of 2030, with the presence of Saudi investments abroad and the opening of new horizons of cooperation in various fields, including political, security, economic, development, trade, investment, tourism and cultural fields, in order to upgrade bilateral relations to new horizons within a specific action plan agreed by both sides.
