MP Hadi Abu Hosn on Wednesday underlined that former deputy Walid Jumblatt had shown flexibility regarding the government formation dossier, but that he had not been met with a serious proposal.
"We are ready for any proposal and to contribute to producing a settlement that finally leads to form the Cabinet," Abu Hosn told an interview with Voice of Lebanon radio station.
"But, when we sense attempts to weaken or eliminate us, then it is normal that we take the adequate position," he continued.
"Former MP Walid Jumblatt has shown flexibility regarding the government formation, yet he was not met with any serious proposal," he stressed.
"The Lebanese must agree over an unwavering position to protect Lebanon through a defense strategy that takes into account everybody's concerns," he said.
"The defense strategy is a national demand," he concluded.
