The Afro-Asian Affairs Director Amb. Muna Abbas Mahmoud Radhi participated in the Tourism Dialogue of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), which was held under the theme “Mitigating COVID-19 Impact -Towards Sustainable and Inclusive Tourism”. The event was organised by Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and ACD.
The participants stressed the importance of cooperation in addressing the current situation in light of COVID-19 outbreak, as the economies of the ACD member states contribute significantly to the global economy. They added that these countries are taking the necessary precautionary measures to maintain the vigour of the tourism sector amidst the unprecedented circumstances caused by COVID-19. They also reaffirmed the importance of partnership in facing this threat to ensure an active, healthy and sustainable tourism sector.
