After Rohani’s Threats .. The US Military Vows To Keep International Trade Routes Open In The Arabian Gulf

BAGHDAD, US Army has vowed to keep navigational routes in the Arabian Gulf open to oil tankers.

"The US Navy and its allies in the region are ready to ensure navigation and free flow of trade in accordance with international law," US military spokesman Bill Arben said in a statement.

The Iranian president, Hassan Rohani threatened in press statements to prevent oil exports of the region if Tehran was prevented from exporting oil.

The Iranian president made the remarks on the sidelines of his visit to Switzerland, to prevent shipments of oil from neighboring countries if the countries respond to the request of the United States not to buy Iran's oil.
