Al-Halbousi discusses with the Kuwaiti Crown Prince the importance of activating trade and revitalizing the private sector between the two countries

Baghdad  Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi discussed today, Monday, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, strengthening relations and conditions in the region, and stressing the need to coordinate positions to meet these challenges.

The meeting discussed, according to a statement by Al-Halbousi office, bilateral relations between the two countries, strengthening means of cooperation in all fields in a way that serves the interest of the two brotherly peoples, and the importance of activating trade and revitalizing the private sector between the two countries.

Al-Halbousi called for more coordination and cooperation to support Iraq in the field of reconstruction and investment.

For his part, the Crown Prince expressed Kuwait’s position that Iraq is a safe country for its people to enjoy stability and prosperity. He also offered his deep condolences to the Iraqi people for the victims of the last two bombings in Baghdad, calling on the international community to stand with Iraq in fighting terrorism and extremist ideology.
