BAGHDAD, Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri discussed with the envoy of the US President for International Coalition Affairs (Brett McCork) the security and political developments in the Iraqi scene and enhance cooperation between the two countries at all levels.
During the meeting, Al-Jubouri discussed means of enhancing joint cooperation between Iraq and the United States of America, especially the file of combating terrorism and the economic and investment fields.
"The meeting also discussed the efforts of the political blocs and their understandings to form the next government and its role in reaching a unified vision on the shape of the new government cab and the achievement of aspirations and aspirations of the Iraqi people."
The two sides also discussed the file of reconstruction and international and Arab support for Iraq in the file of reconstruction and investment as well as intensify coordination between Baghdad and the United States of America on the file of the eradication of terrorism, while praising the efforts of the United States of America in support of Iraq and at all levels.
For his part, McCork said the United States continues to support Iraq in its fight against terrorism and supports all efforts aimed at activating regional and international economic cooperation.
