BAGHDAD, Secretary General of the Iraqi Front for National Dialogue, Saleh al-Mutlaq called on Friday the international community and friends of Iraq to provide a healthy atmosphere for a political process based on realistic national bases that deal fairly with all components of the Iraqi people and dispose of their duty towards a long-suffering of Iraqi citizen.
Al-Mutlaq said during his meeting with US President Envoy, Brett McCork, that Iraq has suffered greatly over the years of problems of sectarianism, corruption and the loopholes of the constitution. It is time to correct the mistakes of the past and to find effective solutions to the decade that hit the service, security and economic institutions. Iraq with the help and advice to provide a healthy atmosphere for a political process based on realistic national bases that deal fairly with all the components of the Iraqi people and dispose of their duty towards the Iraqi citizen who has suffered long.
Al-Mutlaq added that Iraq has all the elements of advancement and progress, but it is still at the bottom of the list because of the wrong policies that have dealt with the files of wealth and human rights and preservation of dignity and the provision of good life, not to mention the problems of security chaos and accompanying the growing forces of terrorism and darkness and crack the social system.
For his part, McCork expressed the hope that the political parties will reach a unified vision to ensure the Iraqi people good and progress, stressing at the same time the position of his country, which supports Iraq.
During the meeting, they discussed the Iraqi, regional and international political scene and the political process in the country.
