Amiri Affirms The Constitutionality And Legality Of The Popular Demonstrations In The Central And Southern Governorates

Baghdad, Secretary General of the Badr Organization Hadi al-Amiri confirmed the constitutional and legal demonstrations in the provinces of central and southern Iraq.

A statement issued by the organization said that Al-Amiri chaired an expanded meeting of the advanced staff of Badr Organization at the headquarters of the Organization's General Secretariat in Baghdad to discuss the current political situation, popular demonstrations and the provision of services. "Noting that" the Badr Organization supports these demonstrations demanding the legitimate rights of the people of Iraq, especially the southern provinces, which are deprived from the most basic elements of life and the lack of services and unemployment and the electricity and other demands.

He stressed the need for the government to comply with the legitimate demands and work to provide them as soon as possible, because the people of the south and center have made great sacrifices and gave convoys of martyrs in order to liberate the land from Daesh.

For his part, the Assistant Secretary-General Abdul Karim al-Ansari stressed, "the counting and sorting operations conducted under the supervision of assigned judges of the Independent Electoral Commission and the need to speed up the completion of its audit to announce the results to form the largest bloc and select Prime Minister and form the government in accordance with constitutional time to initiate the provision of services to citizens.
