Baghdad – A security source in Dhi Qar governorate said today, Saturday, that an explosive device had been dismantled on the international highway within the governorate’s borders.
The Nassiriya News Network quoted the source as saying that: One of the patrols of the Dhi Qar Explosives Control Office found an explosive device on the highway between the governorates of Dhi Qar and Muthanna, and the anti-explosive detachments headed to dismantle it.
He added that the device placed on the edge of the road is a metal container containing C4 with a fuse and a battery weighing 8 kg, which has been treated and secured according to the standard procedures followed by explosives experts. ”
