Application deadline for UNESCO-King Hamad for Use of ICT in Education extended to Feb. 3

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has announced the extension of the application deadline for the 2022 UNESCO-King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education to Friday, February 3, 2023, in order to provide an opportunity for the largest number of people to participate in the award.

The award, in its new cycle, is themed “The use of public platforms to ensure inclusive access to digital education content.”

It will recognise three innovative solutions that have contributed to providing public and all-inclusive digital education. It will reward projects that have made public digital learning platforms and e-content available for all, locally and universally, in addition to initiatives that have helped to develop knowledge and digital skills for teachers, and facilitated electronic communication across the world in the field of education.

Eligible projects shall be ongoing for at least one year. They should not be affiliated to or financed by UNESCO. In addition, the technology tools they use should be open and free.
