MP Roger Azar on Friday said that the birth of the new government was imminent, adding that the awaited Cabinet will be formed according the results of the legislative elections.
"The climate is very positive regarding the government formation; its birth is imminent," the member of the "Strong Lebanon" parliamentary bloc told an interview on OTV channel.
"What's particular about this government is that it has been eventually based on the results of the parliamentary elections. There will be fair and correct representation," he reassured.
On the relation between the Free Patriotic Movement and Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri, Azar maintained that "cooperation is ongoing to form a national unity government."
He also stressed that the FPM insisted on the Lebanese Forces' representation in the lineup.
"Negotiations with [LF] os now at a very advanced stage," he added.
