The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Italian Republic, Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Balushi, met at the embassy headquarters, Dr. Emanuela Del Re, the EU Special Representative for the Sahel (Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Chad), former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and former MP representing Italy’s Five Star Party.
During the meeting, the Ambassador outlined the most prominent achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields of reform and sustainable development, thanks to the comprehensive reform approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He explained that His Majesty the King, through a comprehensive reform approach, laid the foundations of coexistence, cultural pluralism and religious tolerance, which are among the main strengths of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the main reasons for its distinction at the regional and international levels.
He noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes everyone and always works to promote openness and acceptance of different cultures and religions.
He lauded the great role played by the Supreme Council for Women, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, in empowering Bahraini women and enhancing their role so as to occupy the highest positions as men’s equal partners in the nation’s development.
For her part, Dr. Del Rey lauded the great role played by the Supreme Council for Women, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King , in empowering Bahraini women and enhancing their role so as they could occupy the highest positions and positions as men’s equal partners in the nation’s development.
During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were also discussed.
