Customs Affairs Chief Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalifa took part in the international meeting for officials in charge of borders and customs.
The sessions which were held in Washington, the United States, focused mainly on threats and challenges, the use of modern technologies, particularly biometric equipment to facilitate the movement of passengers.
The delegations discussed also ways of benefiting from artificial intelligence to strengthen security and facilitate the movement of passengers and merchandise.
Customs Affairs Chief Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalifa was informed about new customs concepts which are aimed at strengthening the security of all operations and services.
