Bahrain, Greece discuss ways to enhance tourism cooperation

: Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has stressed Bahrain’s keenness and interest in developing its relations with all countries, especially in the tourism field.

 

He also highlighted the government’s continuous efforts to encourage tourism partnerships, support effective cooperation to boost tourism in the kingdom and avail of the expertise and resources of brotherly and friendly countries.

 

Al-Zayani made the statements while meeting here today the Greek Tourism Minister, Harry Theocharis.

 

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the Bahraini-Greek relations, as well as ways to bolster bilateral cooperation across all fields, particularly in the relevant tourism and investment fields.

 

They also underlined the importance of bilateral visits and meetings in enhancing cooperation, and taking advantage of the expertise and resource of Greece in the tourism field.

 

The two ministers also discussed topics of mutual interest.

 

The Industry Minister reviewed Bahrain’s potentials as a country with a strategic location for tourism and investment, in light of its appropriate environment and facilities provided by the government to investors, which has made it a gateway to business in the region and a favourable destination for tourists from many countries.
