Bahrain marks World First Aid Day

Manama, The Kingdom of Bahrain marked the World First Aid Day, annually observed on September 10.

This year’s edition is being under the theme “Lifelong First Aid”, to make awareness campaigns mobilizing both the general public and volunteers.

The annual event sheds light on one of the most important urgent practices, skills and techniques that contribute to protecting lives and avoiding health complications in cases of accidents and crises.

It is also an opportunity to emphasize the importance of obtaining first aid and making it accessible to everyone, in addition to raising awareness, acquiring and performing the skills.

The acquisition of first aid skills also contributes to creating safer and healthier communities in a sustainable manner, which helps deal with cases and injuries in a proper way by providing quick and effective interventions to avert complications.

The Ministry of Health joined hands with the Ministry of Education to implement the “One Paramedic in Every Home” project, which aims to create a national program for training on the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation through school health schemes.
