Bahrain marks World Radio Day

Manama, Bahrain will mark the World Radio Day which falls on Thursday (February 13).

Radio Bahrain joined hands with the Gallery 21 to launch an initiative themed Passion which does not wither.

The event was attended by Interior Ministry Undersecretary for National Passports and Residence Affairs Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Information Affairs Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Radio and Television Abdulla Khalid Al-Dosary and other invitees and radio figures.

The first event was held under the theme Radio Love and Dream, in tribute to veteran media figure Abdulla Youssef.

Bahrain Radio director said that the initiative was launched marking the World Radio Day. He stressed the role played by Radio Bahrain through these initiatives in protection radio heritage.

He announced that a plan would be drawn within a few months to develop the Radio Bahrain in an ambitious scheme to nurture creativity among employees.

He conveyed thanks from Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi hailing his support to Radio Bahrain projects and initiatives and employees.

He said that 15 Radio Bahrain veteran employees would be honoured adding that the initiative would contribute to benefiting from their long expertise and creations to hone the skills of new the current generation of employees.
