Berlin, Mar. 09 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaffer Al Sairafi affirmed keenness to enhance tourism cooperation with tOman within the executive program of the memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation.
The MoU was signed in October between the Tourism Ministry and Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.
Al Sairafi stressed the importance of bolstering cooperation as she visited Oman’s pavilion at the Berlin International Tourism Fair where she met Oman’s Minister of Heritage and Tourism Salem bin Mohammed Al Mahrooqi.
The meeting emphasized the importance of investing in major tourism events to promote the tourism sector in both countries, and forge more partnerships with tourism and travel agencies and companies around the world.
The meeting also affirmed the need to invest in the long-standing fraternal relations between the Kingdom and Oman to activate joint action in the tourism, culture and heritage sectors, based on the cultural heritage of the two countries.
