Manama, The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the appointment of Hans Grundberg as UN Special Envoy for the Republic of Yemen.
The Foreign Ministry wished the newly-appointed envoy success in continuing UN efforts aimed at reaching a political solution that would end the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people and achieve their aspirations for security, stability and prosperity.
It affirmed Bahrain’s full support to Yemen in its efforts to restore legitimacy and achieve comprehensive and lasting peace on its territory.
