The Lebanese Franchise Association inaugurated on Wednesday at Biel the Beirut Forum for Franchise "Bifex 2018", under the patronage of Prime Minister Saad Hariri, represented by the Minister of Economy and Trade, Raed Khoury.
A crowd of dignitaries attended the launch of the Forum, including the Minister of Tourism, Avedis Guidanian, ministers and deputies as well as Arab and foreign diplomats.
Minister Khoury said in a speech that the forum in question has proven its ability to bring together leaders from sectors that play a vital role in the Lebanese economy.
Khoury said that reforms will drive the Lebanese economy, which is counting on young people's potential for recovery and prosperity.
"Engagement in law enforcement, good governance and respect for the environment are the factors adopted by the United Nations as goals for achieving sustainable development, in the process of sustainability and growth", he explained, noting that the Ministry of Economy and Trade has shown commitment to these goals by signing the Memorandum of Understanding with the Lebanon Network Compact Global Organization and implementing these goals in its day-to-day work.
For his part, Minister Guidanian considered that the situation was not dark. He praised the role of economic sectors, including tourism, in representing Lebanon properly in international arenas.
In his words, Lebanon is eager for political and security stability to revive the economic and tourism cycle and attract expatriates to the country.
