House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Thursday welcomed at his Ain Tineh residence Former Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, with whom he discussed the country's general situation.
Both men underlined the need for swift government formation.
Speaker Berri also met with a delegation of the Action team tasked with Lebanon's economic vision and plan, including Caretaker Economy Minister, Raed Khoury, McKinsey Consulting Office, MP Yassin Jaber and consultants from the Lebanese Presidency, Parliament and Premiership.
Speaking on emerging, Minister Khoury said "we are moving towards activating the productive sectors so that we can get out of the current economic crisis."
Khoury added that talks also touched on the mechanism of plan implementation.
Later, Berri received Iraqi Vice President, Iyad Allawi, with talks between the pair reportedly touching on most recent developments in the region.
A Chinese economic delegation also visited Berri today, with prospects of economic cooperation and investments in Lebanon featuring high on their discussions.
