Bou Assi, Rampling discuss cooperation prospects

Caretaker Social Affairs Minister, MP Pierre Bou Assi, welcomed on Wednesday at his ministerial office the new British Ambassador to Lebanon, Chris Rampling, who came on a courtesy visit.

Discussions reportedly touched on the importance of maintaining British support for Lebanon as a host community for the displaced Syrians.

Minister Bou Assi and the British Ambassador stressed the need to continue the UK-funded projects for the Social Affairs Ministry.

Both sides also agreed on the importance of continuing cooperation in accordance with the highest standards of transparency and effectiveness.
