Manama: Chief Executive Officer of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) and Deputy President of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ANQAHE), Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, and Director-General of the National Qualifications Framework at BQA and Secretary-General of ANQAHE, Dr. Tariq Al-Sindi, participated in the first board meeting of ANQAHE in 2020, held using the ‘Zoom Meeting’ programme.
Chaired by ANQAHE’s President, Dr. Nadia Al Badrawi, the meeting discussed a number of issues on its agenda, including Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the fifth ANQAHE conference later this year.
It also decided to hold a webinar forum on e-learning next month, and discussed holding a forum on e-learning standards in the United Arab Emirates, in cooperation with the Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) in October, 2020.
The Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ANQAHE) was established in June, 2007 as a nonprofit nongovernmental organisation to exchange information about quality assurance, construct new quality assurance agencies or organisations, develop standards to establish new quality assurance agencies or support the already present one, disseminate good practice in quality assurance and strengthen liaison among quality assurance bodies in the different Arab countries.
