State Minister for Administrative Development Affairs, Dr. May Chidiac, and the Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Development of the Republic of Estonia, Andres Rondau, on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of digital transformation.
Minister Chidiac said Lebanon has already begun to work on the digital transformation, in cooperation with the Premiership and the relevant ministries.
Chidiac affirmed that her ministry is in constant consultation with local and international parties, to help Lebanon achieve this end, with the aim in particular to ensure a positive business environment, facilitate citizens' procedures, develop public administrations and fight corruption.
The Estonian official said that his country has been at the forefront of digital transformation, being a pioneer in innovative e-government, created since the early 2000.
He said he was pleased to share this experience with Lebanon, thanks to the memorandum signed today, being the first step towards deepening this cooperation.
