Council of Representatives eulogises late HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa

The Council of Representatives has today held its 7th regular session remotely via videoconference, chaired by Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal.

 

She expressed deepest condolences to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

 

During the virtual session, the Speaker also extended heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s sons and grandchildren, the Royal Family and to the loyal people of Bahrain.

“The Kingdom of Bahrain has lost a wise leader and a charismatic statesman who devoted his life to serving HM the King, his people and nation”, she said, adding that deceased’s prolific legacy would remain engraved in the annals of history.

 

She commended late HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa’s pivotal role consolidating the GCC march and pan-Arab work and supporting Arab and Islamic issues, hailing his global humanitarian initiatives which led the United Nations and other international organisations to mourn his death.

 

She paid homage to late HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, hailing his unwavering support to continued and fruitful cooperation between the legislative and executive branches of government.

 

The Speaker hailed the Royal Order issued by HM the King, appointing HRH the Crown Prince as Prime Minister, saying that the wise step would contribute to harnessing national development and bolstering achievements.

 

Lawmakers also paid homage to late HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, hailing HM the King’s royal order, appointing HRH the Crown Prince as Prime Minister.
