Manama, The deadline for applications for the Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award to encourage productive families has been extended to March 5, the labour and Social Development Ministry has said.
The decision to extend the deadline, initially set for February 26, was taken in view of the high number of applications and to give more time for citizens apply for the award at the local level, the ministry said.
The award of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa to encourage productive families was launched in 2007 following the decision of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs in 2010 to adopt the award as An Arab award based on Bahrain's initiative.
The award is now held annually at the local level and biennially at the Arab level. It features three categories - the best productive family, the best product, and the best patron and supporter of productive families.
