Abu Dhabi, Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, met here today the UAE Minister of Energy and Industry, Suheil Al-Mazroui.
Chief Executive Officer of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Shaikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina, were present.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Bahrain and the UAE.
Minister Al-Mubarak said that Bahrain and the UAE have made major strides in developing cooperation in the field of electricity and water, based the directives of their leaderships.
The two ministers reviewed the present and future cooperation fields, in addition to the exchange of expertise and experience, in addition to transferring knowledge and best practices.
The minister and his accompanying delegation visited the pavilion of the GCC Power Grid, and were informed about its work mechanisms and economic returns, as well as about the GCC Interconnection Authority (GCCIA)'s achievements.
