For the second day in a row … OPEC oil prices rise to 68.73 dollars per barrel

BAGHDAD Oil prices rose to 68.73 dollars after the political unrest in the region after Saudi Arabia said it intercepted rockets fired at Riyadh while US President Donald Trump warned Russia of imminent military action against Syria.

“The price of crude oil (OPEC) reached 68.73 dollars per barrel, compared with 68.29 dollars a barrel yesterday,” the bulletin of the General Secretariat of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said on Friday.

The increase comes at a time when Saudi Arabia and Russia are leading the ongoing efforts of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and other major producers from outside of OPEC to cut crude supplies and support prices.
