Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, today held a phone call y with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated Abdulla Shahid on his election as President of the upcoming 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, wishing him every success in carrying out his duties.
The Minister also stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to work with Mr. Shahid in order to maintain global security, peace and stability, and to support the efforts made by the United Nations in the field of supporting sustainable development in the countries of the world and facing global challenges.
