Foreign Minister meets Omani counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE. Dr. Abdulatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, HE. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Humood Al Busaidi, who is currently on an official visit to the kingdom to lead the Omani delegation to the 7th joint Bahraini-Omani Ministerial Committee meeting.

The two sides highlighted deep-rooted bilateral relations and their continuous development under the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. They also reviewed means of bolstering fraternal relations and cooperation in various fields to achieve common interests.

The two sides discussed the latest regional developments and challenges and the efforts exerted to ensure stability, security, development and prosperity.

From the Bahraini side, the meeting was attended by Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs HE. Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, Bahraini Ambassador to Oman HE. Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Academy for Diplomatic Studies HE. Ambassador Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa and Chief of the GCC Affairs, HE. Ambassador Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Eid.

From the Omani side, the meeting was attended by Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE. Ambassador Abdullah bin Rashid bin Ali Al Medailwi and the delegation accompanying the Foreign Minister.
