Foreign Minister receives US Chargé d’Affaires

Manama: Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Margaret Nardi, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.

 

During the meeting, the minister welcomed Mrs. Nardi, praising the historical friendship and cooperation relations, and the distinguished strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America.

 

He underlined the tangible efforts made by the United States of America to establish peace and stability in the region by hosting the signing ceremony of the Declaration Supporting Peace between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel, the Peace Accord between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Israel, and the Abraham Accords, which were signed by the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Israel and the United States of America, wishing the United States of America and its people further progress and prosperity.

 

For her part, the Chargé d’Affairs congratulated the Kingdom of Bahrain on the occasion of signing the declaration supporting peace with the State of Israel, considering that this step represents a major breakthrough towards security, stability and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

 

She stressed the importance of continuing bilateral cooperation and joint coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America in various fields and expanding it to broader horizons for the benefit of both countries and people, wishing the Kingdom further success.

 

The two sides reviewed the course of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to promote and develop them at all levels, in addition to discussing a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
