BAGHDAD The Foreign Ministry has called on its Dutch counterpart to amend the advisory advice on travel warning to Iraq.
"Iraq's ambassador to The Hague, Hisham Al-Alawi, met with the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Dutch Parliament, Dijkstra P.A. to discuss developments in Iraq and the relations between the two countries," a foreign ministry statement said.
During the meeting, the ambassador called on the Dutch Foreign Ministry to amend the advisory advice on travel warning to Iraq, which is currently on the ministry's website, stressing that the security situation in Iraq is stable, especially after the elimination of Daesh terrorist gangs.
Al-Alawi stressed the interest of the Iraqi government to benefit from the Dutch experience in the medical field because of its distinguished international experience and reputation, expressed the hope that practical steps would be agreed to expand cooperation between universities in the two countries. "
