Hajj Hassan: Lebanese laws do not keep up with technology

Head of the House committee of media and telecom, MP Hussein Hajj Hassan, indicated Thursday that the Lebanese legislations do not keep up with technology, stressing however that Lebanon as a country does not fall behind in this field.

"I do not think that Lebanon lags behind at the technological level, but our legislations do not keep pace with the technological development," the lawmaker told Radio Lebanon.

Moreover, Hajj Hassan indicated that the draft law on media and information did not include any clause on abolishing the Ministry of Information, but that it aimed to focus on keeping up with the up-to-dates of technology.
