Hariri receives Fillon and latin American ambassadors

The President of the Council of Ministers Saad Hariri received this afternoon at the Grand Serail the former French Prime Minister Francois Fillon, who said after the meeting: I just met with my friend, Prime Minister Hariri, and we discussed his vision for the future of Lebanon and the problems that the region is facing.

Hariri also received a delegation of Ambassadors from Latin America that included the Ambassador of Argentine Mauricio Alice, the Ambassador of Brazil Paolo Cordeiro, the Ambassador of Chili Martha Chalhoub, the Ambassador of Cuba Alexander Pellicer Moraga, the Ambassador of Mexico Jose Ignacio Madrazo and the Ambassador of Uruguay Ricardo Nario.

After the meeting, Ambassador Chalhoub said: We came as a group of Latin American Ambassadors to present our best wishes to the Prime Minister for his government and for the country.

Prime Minister Hariri explained to us his agenda and all the projects the government of Lebanon has regarding the CEDRE conference and the new budget.

We talked about the cooperation we can have between Latin America and Lebanon, especially that we have a large community of Lebanese people in our countries. It was a very interesting meeting and we talked about the possibility that the Prime Minister and a delegation of businessmen visit our countries.

Hariri then met with a delegation from the State Security Directorate, headed by its General Director General Tony Saliba, in the presence of his deputy, Brigadier General Samir Sanan and the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Defense Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Al Asmar.
