Manama: “Al-Sariyah” has finished first in the race which was held at the Great Yarmouth Racecourse in England.
His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa hailed the achievement.
He praised the victory which, he said, reflects Bahrain’s achievements in the external horse racing championships, claiming a string of landmark successes.
He said that the victory has etched the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the annals of champions, which represents the ultimate goal of external participation.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa said that the victory represents a major boost to continue achieving in coming races and honour Bahrain in global sporting events.
He praised the efforts of the jockey William Buick and his trainer Chris. The triumphant horse was named after the Ramadan quiz show “Al-Sariyah” which was aired on Bahrain TV last Ramadan.
