HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa held a virtual meeting with Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Chairman of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council, Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyad, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hope Fund to Support Youth Projects and Initiatives, Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan, Executive Chairman of the Economic Development Board, Hussain Mohammed Rajab, Chief Executive Officer of the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), and Fajer Saleh Al Pachachi, Director General of Hope Fund.
HH Shaikh Nasser stressed the importance of concerted efforts to achieve the goals of the Hope Fund that represents a significant aspect of the support of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of promising youth initiatives and projects in various fields.
“We must invest in youth as they represent the present and the future, and it is also our responsibility to guide young people to the right way to invest in their projects that they see suitable for them in building the nation and increasing development in various fields,” HH Shaik Nasser said.
“This confirms that the Kingdom of Bahrain is rich with its youth and that it is destined for growth and development thanks to the efforts of its loyal youth.”
The Hope Fund to support youth projects and initiatives is considered as hope for Bahraini youth, and everyone should work together in the spirit of Team Bahrain to reach the noble goals aimed at monitoring national skills and competencies to support youth ideas and skills and enable them to achieve success, activate the role of Bahraini youth and enhance their contribution to development and entry into the world of economics, and launching and supporting Bahraini youth projects towards the world, he added.
There is also a need to boost the Fund’s approach towards supporting investment projects that achieve revenues for the development, to support the youth sector in a sustainable manner, highlight the achievements in the youth field and motivate them to continue their efforts to develop their skills, he said.
HH Shaikh Nasser pointed out that in order to achieve such goals, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the Economic Development Board and Tamkeen should unify their efforts.
HH Shaikh Nasser congratulated Al Pachachi on her appointment as Director General of the Hope Fund to support youth projects and initiatives.
Al Pachachi presented the strategy that the Hope Fund will pursue in order to attract youth projects and initiatives that are consistent with its objectives and standards as well as the appropriate frameworks to support them.
She also indicated the directions of the Hope Fund in cooperating with various public and private sectors that support youth to develop the Fund’s resources, which will enable it to support youth projects.
