Cairo, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation (ALECSO), Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, has lauded the youth-directed initiatives launched by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He asserted that HH Shaikh Nasser’s initiatives aimed at empowering youth are an example to be emulated at the regional and global levels.
He affirmed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s unlimited support for the youth movement has increased Bahraini youth’s presence on various occasions, and consolidated the kingdom’s pioneering status in the youth empowerment field.
ALECSO chief also commended the support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the youth movement, citing its efforts to increase Bahraini youth’s presence in government work.
This came as Arab Parliament Speaker, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi, received here today ALECSO Director-General.
Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar expressed pride in the leading role played by the Arab Parliament in championing Arab causes at all levels, as well as mobilising efforts to preserve Arab heritage and culture.
Al-Asoomi praised ALECSO’s keenness to undertake its duties in the educational, cultural and scientific fields.
The two sides agreed to hold joint events and activities aimed at empowering Arab youth.
