His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal on the International Day of Democracy which is observed on September 15.
The Representatives Council Speaker commended Bahrain’s achievements under the leadership of HM the King, praising the royal support to the legislative branch since the launch of the comprehensive and sustainable reform march. She stressed the kingdom’s adoption of the lofty principles to promote the state of law and institutions and lay contemporary and civilizational constitutional bases.
The Representatives Council Speaker pointed out that the constitutional amendments emanating from the National Action Charter heralded the inauguration of a new era of political reform and democratic life.
