HM King deputises HH Shaikh Isa to crown winners

London, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today deputized His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club High Authority, to attend the crowning of the winners of the military showjumping championship, which was held today at the Windsor Castle grounds as part of the Royal Windsor Horse Show, under the patronage of HM the King and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa was accompanied by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. Duke of York His Royal Highness Prince Andrew and other senior British officials, invitees and equestrian sports fans attended.

The military showjumping championship was held on the cup of HM the King and the Range Rover Cup.

HM Queen Elisabeth II and HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa presented the Bahrain prize to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, HM the King's Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, on winning the Royal Windsor horse race. Trainer Ahmed Janahi received the trophy on behalf of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.

HM Queen Elisabeth II and HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa crowned the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) team, winner of the Range Rover military championship.

The winning team is made up of First Sergeant Ahmed Mansour, Corporal Youssef Moussa, First Soldier Saber Salman. First Sergeant Ahmed Mansour was also honoured for winning the showjumping individual category.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa present HM the King's cup to the German winner and honoured the second and third-placed contenders.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa expressed his delight at attending the event, which was held under the auspices of HM the King.

He hailed strong bilateral historic relations, paying tribute to HM the King and HM Queen Elizabeth II for their keenness on bolstering joint ties in all fields.

He stressed the importance of annual deep-rooted Royal Windsor Horse Show, which is followed all over the world. He congratulated the winners, hailing their outstanding performance>

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa shook hands with the BDF team members, congratulating them on their performance.
