HM King meets with Egyptian President

Sharm El-Sheikh, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met in Sharm El-Sheikh today President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. They reviewed historical fraternal relations between both countries and ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation to serve common interests.

HM the King expressed thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian President for his efforts to enhance the Bahraini-Egyptian relations. Meanwhile, the Egyptian President welcomed HM the King, hailing his visit to Egypt and praising solid ties of brotherhood and cooperation binding both countries. He also commended Bahrain’s inherent stances towards Egypt and its people.

HM the King expressed Bahrain’s appreciation of solid and growing relations with Egypt, stressing mutual keenness on promoting cooperation and consultation in light of the challenges facing the region. He commended the pivotal role of the Arab Republic of Egypt in defending the Arab national security, the supreme interests of the Arab nation and its just causes. He also lauded Egypt’s active role in boosting security, stability and peace in the Middle East.

Both leaders discussed the latest developments on the regional, Arab and international scenes, hailing the forthcoming summit which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia between leaders of the GCC countries, Jordan, Egypt, the Iraqi Prime Minister and the US President Joe Biden. They also praised the ongoing coordination and the unified visions between Bahrain and Egypt regarding issues of common concern. They underlined the importance of promoting peace, security and stability in the region and combat terrorism.
