HM King’s advisor lays foundation stone of Bahrain Institute for Oriental Music

Advisor to HM the King for Media Nabeel bin Yacoub Al Hamer, and Mohammad bin Issa, Secretary General of Assilah Forum, former Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Laid the foundation stone for the pioneering Bahraini-Moroccan project, “Bahrain Institute for Oriental Music”.

Bahraini Ambassador to Rabat Khalid Al Musallam, was present.

The project aims to qualify young musicians from the city of Assilah and Tangier, Tetouan, and Al Hoceima.

The institute specializes in teaching the rules of music in general and oriental music in particular, including the origins and development of Arabic and Moroccan music.

Students will also receive lessons in various rules, musical instruments, and other musical and sound effects.

This project comes in appreciation of the distinguished brotherly ties between the two kingdoms, which are witnessing continuous care by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
