Manama: Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has stressed the depth of the long-standing relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, highlighting the unwavering tremendous efforts being exerted by the two friendly countries’ leaderships to further bolster bilateral ties.
The minister made the statements while holding a meeting with the UK’s Minister for International Trade, Ranil Jayawardena, via video conference.
Bahraini Ambassador to the UK, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, British Ambassador to Bahrain, Roddy Drummond, Acting Undersecretary, Eman Ahmed Al-Dossari, and Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade, Shaikh Hamad bin Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, participated in the virtual meeting.
The two sides discussed the deep-rooted friendly Bahraini-British relations, especially in the fields of trade, investment and tourism, stressing the importance of further enhancing them in a way that would meet the aspirations of the two countries’ leaderships in this regard.
The Industry Ministry affirmed that the two kingdoms’ joint efforts and initiatives, as well as the exchanged visits between the officials of the public and private sectors have contributed to strengthening bilateral ties.
