(BNA): Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi received in his office today Chairman of Bahrain Public Relations Society, Dr. Fahad Al Shehabi, and Chairman of Bahrain Jurists Society, Dr. Abduljabbar Al Tayeb, on the occasion of the approval of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to grant both societies the “Consultative Status”.
The Information Minister congratulated the Chairmen of Bahrain Public Relations Society and Bahrain Jurists Society on the UN confidence which is a recognition of the societies’ efforts in serving the Bahraini community.
Dr. Fahad Al Shehabi and Dr. Abduljabbar Al Tayeb expressed thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Information for his interest in the achievements of the civil society organizations. They praised keenness of the Information Ministry to support the national societies to assume their responsibilities in Bahrain and beyond. They also asserted keenness to continue serving the community and highlighting Bahrain’s efforts internationally.
