Manama: Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi received Assistant Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar and the chairman of the Popular Heritage Sports Committee Khalifa Abdullah Al Gaood.
The meeting reviewed cooperation between the Ministry of Information and the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports on implementing the initiatives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Sports, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, in reviving national sporting heritage and Bahrain’s deep-rooted heritage.
Al Romaihi stressed the ministry’s keenness on supporting and covering all activities and competitions of popular heritage sports, in line with the directives of HM the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to protect popular heritage and preserve the Kingdom’s civilizational and cultural identity.
Askar and Al Gaood expressed their thanks and appreciation to the minister for his keen interest in supporting the activities of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
