International Affairs Undersecretary, Thai Ambassador discusses developing joint cooperation

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Na Songkhla.

During the meeting, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla welcomed the Ambassador, stressing the depth of the strong relations between the two friendly countries in all areas. He also reviewed means to promote the cooperation relations and further develop them in a way that meets the common interest of the two countries and their peoples.

The Undersecretary for International Affairs emphasised Bahrain’s keenness to consolidate relations with the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), especially after the Kingdom's accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, for the benefit of all, wishing the Ambassador further success.

Ambassador Na Songkhla expressed his country's aspiration to promote friendly relations with Bahrain at all levels, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.

The two sides also discussed a number of topics and issues of common interest.
