King’s visit to Japan is great success, says envoy

Japanese Ambassador to Amman Okuyama Jiro on Thursday affirmed that the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Japan was a great success and demonstrated the strong and deep-rooted relations between the two countries. Speaking to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the envoy indicated that such royal visit provided an opportunity to discuss and explore ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership in various fields. “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to host their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania and His Royal highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein on his visit to Japan,” he stated. During the visit, the official noted, Their Majesties and the Crown Prince held a number of meetings and exchanges, which provided a valuable opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest and to explore mean of bolstering cooperation and partnerships in various domains. “We believe that the visit will further deepen and strengthen the bilateral relationship between Japan and Jordan and pave the way for greater cooperation and collaboration in the years to come,” he said. The envoy extended appreciation to Their Majesties the King and Queen and His Royal Highness Crown Prince for their visit, saying “we look forward to continuing our close relationship with Jordan for the mutual benefit of our two countries and peoples.”
