KRG: Daesh Re-Organizing Itself In Areas That Peshmerga Withdrew From Them

BAGHDAD, The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) confirmed that Daesh organization is reorganizing itself in the disputed areas between Arbil and Baghdad after the Peshmerga forces withdrew on October 16.

Government spokesman Sven Dzai said in a press statement that "what concerned us is not to target civilians in those areas."

He added that "Daesh forces reorganize itself in those villages and areas and attack citizens there after the withdrawal of the Peshmerga from them," noting that" the government of Kurdistan is trying to find a joint tripartite coordination with the Iraqi government and US forces to prevent the emergence of the militant organization in those areas in addition to securing them fully ".
