BAGHDAD, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has thanked Germany for its humanitarian and military assistance.
"The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani met with Barbara Wolf, the new consul general of Germany in the region, and during the meeting, they discussed the situation of the region and the political process in Iraq and the latest developments in the process of forming the new federal government."
The German official, during the meeting, thanked the institutions of the Kurdistan Regional Government for their cooperation and facilities for their activities," stressing the continuation of humanitarian and military assistance provided by her country to the region, and to encourage German companies to invest in it.
For his part, Barzani expressed his thanks to Germany for its humanitarian and military assistance to the Kurdistan region, especially the assistance it provided in the reform process in the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs. He expressed the hope that this assistance will continue, stressing the work to strengthen relations between the Kurdistan region and Germany in all areas.
